Ranking of groups · Norway

Largest oil and gas field owners in Norway, by group

The 26 oil and gas field owners in Norway, each company counted under its ultimate parent and ranked by their recorded shares of the recoverable reserves of the oil and gas fields the group's companies hold. Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries leads with 21,472 million boe by share across 81 oil and gas fields, held by 2 of its companies, ahead of Petoro AS (16,928 million boe) and Eni (6,697 million boe).

A group is a parent company in the data and every subsidiary under it (GLEIF, Wikidata and the UK register of people with significant control); a company with no parent in the data is a group of its own. Each oil and gas field counts once per group, by the share the sources record for the group's companies (the larger one where two give one); oil and gas fields without a recorded share count nothing, since licensees share them. The 26 groups listed are linked to 68,343 million boe; the oil and gas fields in Norway with recoverable reserves recorded add up to 70,075 million boe.
